10 Tips To Manage Anxiety

Stess is one of the most popular moods of our century. 

It is not a disease but if you do not manage stress properly and in an appropriate time frame, it can lead to more serious health problems.  People often think stress management techniques are too simple to actually work, but nothing could be further from the truth.  Even using one stress management tool once a day can have an impact on your emotional and mental well-being and be a wonderful tool to de-stress.  This article offers 10 Tips to Manager Stress at work but also in your everyday life.

1.  Getting Organised can be a wonderful tool to de-stress.  Get organised for the next day before you go to bed at night.  This will allow your mind to start organising your day while you are sleeping.  It will reduce stress by allowing your to focus only on the task at hand and not worrying about the things you haven't done yet.  

2. Breathe: 
There are a number of breathing techniques that can be used for managing stress. The 7:11 Breathing Pattern is the opposite of hyperventilation. This is a simple breathing technique that involves breathing in for the count of 7 and out for the count of 11.

3.  Exercise you body = calm your mind:
Doing activities that will simulate the "flight" response and expel the excessive adrenaline that has been released into the body as part of the stress response.

4.  Food Glorious Food:  When someone is stressed, it is a natural reaction to look at junk food. But junk food can leave you feeling exhaustion or a bad mood. Having a balanced diet and regular meals is a good way to fight stress. If you spend 4-5 hours without a meal, it is very likely to turn to the junk food. Include supplements from your naturopath. 5. Stay Hydrated with H2O

7.  Get A Sense Of Humour:

8:  Pamper Yourself: 
Pampering yourself is a wonderful way of taking responsibility for getting your needs meet. Pampering can be a coffee with a friend, a chat on the phone, a facial, manicure, pedicure - either at home or by a beautician, an aromatherapy bath or a wonderful relaxing massage.  What do you need to do to feel pampered? 

9.  Get A Good Nights Sleep:
Being tired makes it difficult to deal with stressful situations. Try making yourself physically tired in order to get a good night’s sleep. How old and uncomfortable is your bed?  Physical pain adds to stress.  Make sure you are sleeping in the best bed you can afford.  It will be worth it's weight in gold if you get a good nights sleep.
